Wood Charmer had the honor of working with SharkLife, a marine conservation group, to create a range of eco-friendly souvenirs for the gift shop at their newest facility, SharkLife Sodwana Bay, South Africa.
After designing the small wooden shark charms, we invited Africa!Ignite to join, bringing their beading expertise in, to create something memorable.
Africa!Ignite is a member of the World Fair Trade Organization. Their focus is rural development in South Africa, partnering with communities, especially woman and youths, so that they can participate fairly in the economy and global society while practicing their traditional bead-working craft.
We’ve crafted these eco-friendly drink coaster sets from light birch wood. The “circling shark” engraving is a deep amber wood burn in vibrant contrast to the natural tones and subtle grains of the birch.
We’ve custom crafted this set of Big 5 shark fridge magnets from a layered maple – walnut ply wood to create deep rich contrast and accents through our engraving process. Our sturdy display stand mirrors the earthy hues of the product for a cohesive merchandising package.
